Reviews
This book is loaded with so many goodies for those who enjoy androgynous fashion! A great deal of historical context is provided that puts into perspective how androgyny has been regarded in human society over time (naturally alongside the evolving mentalities toward the masculine and the feminine). Along these lines, Mauriès provides specific, fascinating examples of individuals who played with the gender boundaries of their time. The countless illustrations throughout this book also serve to show how wonderfully diverse the landscape of androgynous fashion truly is.
